There was a house between 1, 2 Sawmill Camp, occupied by a family called Harris.
Mr Albert and Mrs Amy Harris (nee Parker) had four girls (Edna, Bessie, Dorothy, Mavis) when Mrs Harris died Mr Harris remarried and a boy and a girl were born into the second marriage. The second Mrs Harris already had a boy and a girl from her first marriage. All of the children went to the Bay School.
Mr Harris married one of the Robertson girls. Don Robertson used to visit to listen to the cricket.
Dorothy/Dot Harris married Percival Pritchard, Mavis married Bill Hughes, Bessie married Hugh Slaven, all three continued to live in the Bay and raise families. Edna married and moved away.
