Mr Clarrie Baxter and his wife May  occupied and extended this house. There were 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Girls- Lola, Vivienne, boys- Harry, Clarry (known as Noisy).

Lola the third daughter came back to look after her father. She was then Lola Anderson. Lola lost her husband, James, when he was drowned whilst setting lobster traps at the gorge. He couldn’t swim and his body was recovered from the gorge by Joey Warren, their neighbour.

Lola’s sister Vivienne and brother Clarrie and his son Michael also lived in the Baxter home for many years.

Lola had two daughters, Gai and Trisha, she lived in the house until she died in 2016. The house was then sold to the mining company Coal &Allied who owned the land.

All Coal & Allied lands in Catherine Hill Bay have been bought by Wallalong Lands Pty Ltd
