Henry Bell and his family lived in this house. There were 13 children. When Henry was killed on Seven Bends Road his daughter Jean who was the sixth child came back to look after the family. She had only been gone six months Jean lived in this house for 84 years. The house has three bedrooms. Jean’s husband, Ivan Bridge was a carpenter at the mine; he changed the rooms around and renovated the house. Jean and Ivan had one daughter. Both were keen members of the bowling club and Ivan was one of the SP bookies in the Bay. Saturday morning usually saw a lineup of cars in front of their house.
