This weatherboard cottage was built around 1889 by the Wallarah Coal-mining Company to house its mineworkers.
Nat and Rose Jones and family (Lennie’s family) were the first remembered tenants.
Next were Alf and Min Faraway.
In 1964 the Coal Company ‘Coal & Allied’ subdivided some of its land. This house and large block of land were to be purchased for 300 pounds by Mrs E Farraway.
The front boundary was 77 feet and 4 inches and the rear boundary was more than 93 feet. The side boundaries ware 132 feet.
Renovated in 2005.
